Biblical Questions
What is God’s Will for healing?
Jesus did God’s will:
John 6:38. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
John 14:9-10. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Jesus treated everyone the same, no one gets special treatment:
Acts 10:34. Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
James 5:14-15. 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
Jesus demonstrated His (and God’s) will to heal all:
Isaiah 53:5 ...with his stripes we are healed.
1 Peter 2:24 ...by whose stripes ye were healed.
Luke 5:12-13. And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
John 10:10. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Acts 10:38: How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
God’s will to heal:
Psalms 103:2-3. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
James 1:17. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Matthew 6:10. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Matthew 7:9-11. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
God doesn’t change:
Hebrews 13:8. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Malachi 3:6. For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Psalms 119:89 ...For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
