Barn Party

The combined choirs will once again present a musical/drama, Barn Party in early September.  The theme is a hilarious, old fashioned Gaither-type sing-along with lots of good gospel music.

Wow!  And we’re going to need your imagination, helping hands, and hidden talent!

Can you play an instrument?   Do you enjoy singing with friends and family?  Do you

have a knack for writing or reciting poetry?  Can you lip sync?   Were you the class

comedian known for bringing the house down with your wit and good humor?

Opportunity abounds....if you have other talents or skills, there will even be a display area for arts and crafts!

Our combined choirs, the Chawin Gumm Sangers would like to invite you to join us.  We

will rehearse Sunday afternoons, after church and have refreshments on May 18 - June 15 - July - 20 - August 17.

     (September to be announced later).

Musicians are needed for the Greasy Gap Breakdown Band:  string instruments, guitar, banjo, piano, drums, horns, spoons, washboard, tambourine, etc. (you get the picture).  Master of Ceremonies and 10 cast members are needed for simple acting parts.

If you are interested please contact Sue Haynes at 517 628-2689.

Sharon Ranalli,  Ecuador Missionary to speak at ABC

A dinner will be held to welcome a special guest from the Ecuador Missionary field, Sharon Ranalli.  Dinner will be at_6:00 PM on May 14, and then we will hear from Sharon at 7:00 PM.

Sharon brings with her one of the first Quichua Indian graduates of the Bible Institute that was founded in Ecuador by Sharon and her late husband Al, over thirty years ago.  Elias Quichau Indian graduate, and his wife Carmen are also actively engaged in ministering in Ecuador.

You will want to take advantage of this opportunity to hear from this missionary from Ecuador that the Aurelius Baptist Church Congregation has supported for many years.  Come hear how God is working in Ecuador.  Again the date is Wednesday May 14, at 6:00 PM for dinner and Sharon’s message at 7:00 PM.

Sacrament of Baptism

Three members of the younger set, Mandie Aikin, Brad Aikin Frazee, and Janae Miller received baptismal rites during the morning worship service on March 30.

One adult, Mert Thompson, also                                               entered the waters of baptism at this Sunday service.

This was an especially memorable                                             baptism for Pastor Steve, as two of those being baptized were he and                                                   Donna’s grandchildren.
